A Letter From Our Founders

We founded SpeakEasy with the goal of leveraging technology to make the political process more accessible for folks who want to run for office or have a say in this country’s elections.

Since inception, we’ve built self-serve political advertising tools for mail and digital media that have helped hundreds of candidates, labor groups, and progressive organizations move their message to voters at an affordable price point – lowering the barriers to participation and increasing access to the political process.

Now we’ve seen it work: in our first cycle – 43% of our candidates were women and 37% were people of color – validating our aspirations of building tools for people and organizations who are all too often shut out of the process. This nation was intended to be a democracy by, and for, the people – and we built SpeakEasy to be one small part in helping our country live out these values.

All this is really to say – thank you.

Thank you for believing in us from the beginning, thank you for trying a new way of doing things, and thank you for coming back to us each cycle. We’re honored to work with you, and feel privileged to be a small part of amplifying your message.

We made a lot of progress this past November, but we still have a long way to go. We hope you enjoy the holidays with your friends and family, and we’ll be ready to get back to work in 2019.

Thank you.
